Alexander gets records

Midway through the second quarter, Alexander ended up with the rushing title and scored a touchdown to pass Priest Holmes for most touchdowns in a season. MVP award most likely coming.

Alexander is great, IMO, in the top three in the NFL at RB.

Hes a very good running back, but he has perhaps the best offensive line in the NFL run blocking wise and a good passing game to keep defenses honest, keeps the 8 and 9 defenders out of the box. Also he plays in a crappy divison and the Seahawks are gonna get a rude awakening coming in their home playoff opener. Any NFC wildcard team matches up well against them.

Would you pay Alexander BIG $$, or draft or sign another productive running back and free up cap space to improve the rest of the team?

IMO though MVP is Tiki Barber, the Giants dont win anything without him.

I would pay Alexander, his speed is suprising, and he has a nose for the end zone and first downs.

His O-line is great, and the passing game is not that good, maybe if they had some receivers.

Yes I would call a 65.3 completion % 3383 yards passing and a 98.1 percent passer rating pretty good for Hassleback and a team that didnt have to play from behind all season.

As long as you have a passing game that moves the chains, that keeps the defense honest.

Of course Alexander has a nose for the inzone, he gets 100 red zone carries a season! Tiki may have only had 9 TD's to Alexanders 28, but hes also took out inside the 10 yard line. He has been his whole career, which is stupid.

Why does every coach always think bigger backs equal better goalline runners? It doesnt unless maybe if your on the 1 yard line.

Look at alexander's stats on 3rd and 1, seattle convereted ALL of them.

He is just too good a back to let go, IMO.

Your boy Johson is impressive, I think he may end up being better than 95% of the NFL backs.

I hated to see Chicago get rid of Bobby Engram. He, Jerivicious, and Darrell Jackson are actually a really solid core. Looking at alot of teams, if you have a QB, you have a passing game, Favre is proof positive of that even without Walker, Driver, and Ferguson. Hasselbeck is the best qb in the nfc this year, I would say they have a passing game.

Seriously though, you dont sign running backs in this day and age in the NFL to huge long term deals. There's always someone that can be productive, especially with that offensive line and balanced attack.

I wouldnt write off Jamal Lewis just yet, I know he had a bad year but a change of teams would do him well. I could see him being a real good back for the steelers with Bettis retiring.
